Panelists
Jamie is one of the founders of C3 Insurance, doing so because he felt the market needed new thought leadership on how insurance brokerages are run from a people & culture centric point of view. Prior to entering the agency side of the business he held leadership positions with a national insurer. Jamie is Chairman of the Board at C3 Risk and Insurance Services and Managing Director of the transportation division, Trucking Proud. He leads the sales & revenue development leadership team at the agency.
Jamie earned a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health and a Master of Science in Fire Science, both from University of Central Missouri. Now, an involved father of three, he loves spending time with wife and kids, taking advantage of all that Southern California living has to offer. When not at the beach or coaching youth sports, he enjoys hiking and traveling the world.
Mark Sektnan is Vice President of State Government Relations of the American Property Casualty Insurance Association, and he covers California, Hawaii, Nevada and Washington. Mark has over 30 years of government relations experience. Mark joined a parent organization to APCIA in 2009 as vice president with primary responsibility for advocacy on personal lines issues. During his 30-year career in government and the insurance industry he served as chief consultant to the Assembly Insurance Committee in 2004 – 2006 and earlier in his public service career, Mark was chief consultant to the Assembly Education Committee and the Assembly Government Efficiency and Consumer Protection Committee. Mark also was vice president of legislative affairs with the California Association of Health Plans and assistant vice president with the American Insurance Association. Prior to joining APCIA, he served as state relations officer with the American International Group (AIG).
